Great examples. Got my head circling around with so many ideas that I actually had to pause the video several times haha.

Thanks for sharing, Denis! Your comment made me laugh. What a great compliment that you had to pause the video several times because of all these ideas! I sometimes do that with videos, too.

I usually try hard not to take on anything else, my days are packed already. But I’m so inspired to start a new purposeful passion project! Thanks for this great lesson on how to do it right!

Oh wow, Kendra, I’m so excited for you! I’d love to hear how your purposeful passion projects goes.

And, yes, I totally hear you on having a lot going on already. Given how much most of us have going on, we do need to be careful with what we choose to do. I think that’s why it’s so important to have priorities.

I love the term “purposeful passion project”, Bere! When you helped me get started on my blog we didn’t call it that – but it’s exactly what it is for me.

I highly recommend pursuing your own “ppp” to everyone who wants to explore their passion. Blogging helps me to do exactly that while already helping other people in a meaningful way.

At the same time I don’t have to worry that my passion has to create income right away. I think this is really big because like this the project stays fun!

Blogging really does “light me up” – so much so that I enjoy writing even after a long day with my toddler. It really re-energizes me and is actually part of my self care routine.

If you’re unsure about which kind of “ppp” you want to explore, Bere is awesome at helping you figure that out 😉

Thanks so much for commenting, Anne! I think it’s so helpful for people to hear directly from someone who has done it.

I love, love, love that you write that blogging is actually part of your self-care routine. That’s so beautiful to hear.

And, I love it that your blog is already helping other people in a meaningful way. That’s what the triple bottom line in action: doing something that’s good for you, good for others, and good for the world.

Also, thank you so much for your kind comment. I definitely love helping people get clear on what to pursue.

My thoughts immediately went to Decision Making, the importance of being able to make them, and the consequences of not making them. The best decision is the right decision. The next best decision is the wrong decision. The worst is no decision.

Thanks for sharing all this about Decision Making, Joseph! Yes, it’s so important to make them… and there are dire consequences if we refuse to make them (after all “no decision” is also a decision, just typically not the one we want). Thanks for bringing this up!

Finally found a great name for my side business ‘a passion project’ 🙂 Is the goal to do this so you can eventually scale up and still quit your job?

Oh, great that you found a new name for your side business, Paul!🙂

In terms of goals, it depends on what you want. Some people want to leave their job. In that case, scaling up a side business and quitting the job when the business is solid enough is a good approach. Other people might like to stay in their job (perhaps full-time or perhaps with reduced hours) in which case it doesn’t necessarily need to be scaled up and they can just enjoy it as it is.
